Information about your appointment
Appointments are 50-55 minutes and cost $185.00.

If you have a referral under a Better Access Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP you can claim a rebate of $88.25 for 10 sessions in a calendar year. This means that most clients are $96.75 out of pocket for a session.  

Alternatively, if you have private insurance that covers mental health services you may be eligible for a partial refund through your insurance company.

Registration/Forms
If you have a referral under a GP MHCP please remember to bring it with you or email it in advance. 

Please note that a valid referral must include the following details: 
Psychologist name: (Lisa Barney); 
Place of practice: Lantern Psychology, Rowland House, Level 1, 5/10 Thesiger Court Deakin ACT 2000;
Number of sessions endorsed by GP;
Signature of GP.

 If any of these details are not provided, contact your GP to request an updated referral
or you will be unable to claim the Medicare rebate.
